What we moderate

We moderate posts and media on GTK, profiles and bios, and other public surfaces. We also review Postbox messages when we receive a report or when safety systems flag a serious risk. Lives, gifts, and plan related behaviour can be reviewed too. Private chats are not read for curiosity. They may be reviewed when a report or clear safety signal gives us a reason.

2

How reports work

Anyone can report through in-app Report or Help Point. You can also email support@nearry.app. We prioritise reports that involve young people, threats, sexual exploitation, or ongoing harassment. A clear description helps us act faster. Duplicate pile-ons on the same mild post are less useful than one calm, detailed report.

3

How we review

Human review and automated signals may both play a role. We look at the content, the context, and any history that matters. Community Rules and Safeguarding Policy guide the decision. We try to be consistent, though edge cases can take longer. If we need more detail from you, we may reply to ask for it.

4

Actions we take

Actions can include removing content, limiting features, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans. In some cases we may hide an account from discovery while we investigate. Serious harm can lead to evidence preservation and reports to authorities. We choose the lightest action that still protects people when that is enough. Repeat harm usually leads to stronger steps.

5

Lives and partners

Hosts and partners are responsible for what they broadcast and how they treat bookers. They should use moderation tools when someone is being abusive in a live. Pricing should stay honest. We may pause live or partner tools if rules are ignored. Appeals for host decisions can still go through the same support email.

6

Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision was wrong, email support@nearry.app. Include your username, roughly when the action happened, and why you think it was a mistake. We will review with fresh eyes when we can. An appeal is not a guarantee that content will return. Abusive messages to support will not help your case.
